If you want a peaceful life, learn when to say less. Better yet, learn how to say nothing at all. Know when to ignore the annoyance, walk away from the fight, let the offense go. Realize that you don't have to explain your every thought and move. You don't have to make sure they know you're right. Not everything requires your take. Quit with the tedious rehashes of what happened and why. Stop circling back to make sure everyone understands you. If you need to vent, do it on paper and then burn it. Don't step in to fix what isn't yours. Stop fretting about whether they're mad; that's their business. Let people have their version of events, and let your own take on the situation remain a mystery. Keep your two cents in your pocket.
