I’ve Learned to Let Myself Be Quiet
I’ve learned to let myself be quiet. To say less, to say nothing at all. I don’t explain my every thought and move. No more long rehashes of “what happened and why.” I don’t circle back to make sure everyone understands me, or fret about whether they’re mad. I let people have their version. I don’t step in to fix what isn’t mine. Whatever people decide about me belongs to them. My life belongs to me.
